In toss the turtle the aim is to fire the turtle as far out of the cannon as possible whilst steering him beyond a battle field of obstacles, hinderinces and aids. The most unlikely of objects and things will aid you in going further with your turtle such as bombs. When you land on a bomb it explodes and sends you further into the air to reach a greater distance.
Watch out for those nasty spikes they certainly won't send you further along but instead you will be impaled in them! What we love about this game is the sheer variety of upgrades, not just to your turtle but to your cannon and of course you the controller. For example you can invest in a range of guns that will shoot your turtle further whilst he's in the air. You can even purchase the golden gun!
Tossing a turtle may seem a bit of a bizarre idea and becomes an even more weird affair considering you don't actually toss the turtle but instead fire him out of a canon. The reason for this conflict in game title and game play is that the game developers simply came up with a name and stuck with it instead of tinkering with it all the time. Instead they preferred to stick to developing a great game and let's face it that's what counts not the name!
